What you need to know about returns and refunds

GENERAL

This policy, including its terms and conditions, (referred to as “Refunds Policy or “Returns Policy”) are an addition to the General Terms and Conditions (referred to as “General Terms and Conditions” for this website, and should be read in conjunction with such terms.

In the event that any terms and conditions specified in this policy conflicts with any specified within the General Terms and Conditions, then the terms within this policy will take precedence.

SECTION 1 – PHYSICAL ITEMS

SECTION 1.1 – REFUNDS

You understand that our policy lasts 30 days only.  If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition that you received it.

You understand that several types of physical goods are exempt from being returned such as, but not limited to, perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers and/or magazines cannot be returned.

You understand that we also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase to be sent to us along with your request for a refund.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted, at our sole discretion:

  • Book with obvious signs of use.
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.

You acknowledge that we will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 (fourteen) days.

SECTION 1.2 – EXCHANGES

You understand that we only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at hello@upstart-entrepreneur.com.

SECTION 1.3 – ON SALES ITEMS

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately any items that were on sale at the time of purchase cannot be refunded.

SECTION 1.4 – GIFTS

If the items purchased was marked as a gift, the purchaser of the gift receive a refund as per the Refund clauses for physical goods in this policy.

If the items purchased was purchased with a gift card, the owner of the gift receive a gift credit for the value of your return to be used on our Website.

Once the returned item is received as per the clause under Physical Goods Refunds, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

SECTION 1.5 – SHIPPING

To return your product, you should email us at hello@upstart-entrepreneur.com for an address where you can ship the item.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your product.  Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.  We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

SECTION 2 – THIRD-PARTIES

Any goods or services purchased via links from our Website to a third-party Websites or companies are subject to the returns, exchanges and refunds policies of those third-parties, and such request for returns, exchanges, or refunds should be communicated directly with those third-parties.

SECTION 3 – MENTORSHIP

SECTION 3.1 – REFUNDS

You understand that we do not offer any refunds for any Mentorship Services (as defined in the Mentorship Policy).

Any refund we may offer, will be at our sole discretion, and subject to any terms and conditions we apply to it at that time.

SECTION 3.2 – EXCHANGES

You may at any time during the course of your Mentorship Services, upgrade your Mentorship Services, and only pay the difference between the Mentorship Service you were on and the upgraded Mentorship Service.

In the event that you wish to downgrade your Mentorship Services, you may do so at the end of your current Mentorship Service package period.

SECTION 3.3 – TRANSFERS

You may, upon request and approval from us, request that your current Mentorship Services Package, be transferred to someone you nominate, on condition that such person or company take over responsibility for payment for the remaining period / sessions.

You should contact us at hello@upstart-entrepreneur.com or contact your Mentor directly should you wish to do this.

SECTION 4 – SPECIALISED SERVICES

SECTION 4.1 – REFUNDS

You understand that due to the fact that Specialised Services (as defined in the Services Policy and/or Specialised Services Policy) are physical and/or digital services, that we do not offer any refunds for any Specialised Services rendered.

You understand that you have 72 hours from the time of making your first payment and prior to the project commencing, to request a full refund and cancel the service.  After this period, no refunds will be processed.

Any refund we may offer, will be at our sole discretion, and subject to any terms and conditions we apply to it at that time.

SECTION 4.2 – EXCHANGES

You understand that we do not offer any exchanges for any Specialised Services.

SECTION 4.3 – TRANSFERS

You understand that we do not offer any transfers for any Specialised Services.

SECTION 5 – COURSES

You understand that due to the fact that Courses (as defined in the Course Policy) are digital products/services, that we do not offer any refunds for any Courses.

Any refund we may offer, will be at our sole discretion, and subject to any terms and conditions we apply to it at that time.

SECTION 5.2 – EXCHANGES

You understand that we do not offer any exchanges for any Courses.

SECTION 5.3 – TRANSFERS

You understand that we do not offer any transfers for any Courses.

SECTION 6 – RESOURCES

You understand that due to the fact that Resources (as defined in the General Terms & Conditions) are digital and downloadable products, that we do not offer any refunds for any Resources.

Any refund we may offer, will be at our sole discretion, and subject to any terms and conditions we apply to it at that time.

SECTION 6.2 – EXCHANGES

You understand that we do not offer any exchanges for any Resources.

SECTION 6.3 – TRANSFERS

You understand that we do not offer any transfers for any Resources.

SECTION 7 – EVENTS

SECTION 7.1 – REFUNDS

You understand that we do not offer any refunds for any Events (as defined in the Event Policy).

Any refund we may offer, will be at our sole discretion, and subject to any terms and conditions we apply to it at that time.

SECTION 7.2 – EXCHANGES

You may at any time upgrade your event tickets, and only pay the difference between the event ticket you were on and the upgraded event ticket price.

SECTION 7.3 – TRANSFERS

You may, upon request and approval from us, request that your current event tickets, be transferred to someone you nominate.

SECTION 8 – ADDITIONAL SERVICES

You understand that we do not offer any refunds for any Additional Services (as defined in the General Terms & Conditions).

Any refund we may offer, will be at our sole discretion, and subject to any terms and conditions we apply to it at that time.

Please refer to the Third-Party clause in this policy should the Service have been provided by a third-party, whether from a link from our site or recommendation from us.

SECTION 9 – LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

You are required to follow the following procedure if you have not received your refund within the allocated time period:

  • First check your bank account again.
  • Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
  • Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
